Sri Lanka: from revolt to revolution?

Sri Lanka is spiralling into a devastating economic, political and social crisis. Food, medicine and petrol shortages have prompted days-long queues.

Protests demanding the resignation of the government have been harshly repressed. But workers and youth have kept up their fight for more than 50 days.

As the crisis enters its third month with no sign of a resolution, Workers Power is hosting this meeting to hear socialists and Sri Lankan activists discussing the origins and trajectory of a crisis which threatens to be only the first of many in South Asia and across the semi-colonial world.
